Karen Chen has been involved in marine education, marine mammal training & rehabilitation program at Underwater World for over 6 years. She worked with dolphins, dugong, parrots, snakes, sharks… and enjoys sharing her experiences with everyone.

Markus Ruf is a PADI Master Instructor with 14 specialties and EFR-Instructor. Marine Biologist, specialties Marine Molluscs (Malacology) and Marine Turtles.
Helen Brunt is an Anthropologist and PADI Diving Instructor working for the Semporna Islands Darwin Project in Sabah, Borneo. Her work focuses on environmental education and awareness with local people living in a Marine Protected Area.
Maggie and Geoff Gearheart

Both marine biologists and specialised in the conservation of marine turtles. Having set up several hatcheries in Central America and experienced in (satellite) tagging leatherbacks and greens. They are now living and working in Indonesia, continuing conservation work in Papua, Sulawesi and Sumatra.

Jennifer Chapman is a Biology graduate and PADI Dive Master with a passion for conservation. She has previously worked on environmental sustainability projects and has continuing involvement in conservation projects throughout Asia.
Richard Cottrell is a Biology graduate from Southampton University who has recently joined the programme. He has a keen interest in ecology, particularly in coral reef health. He has previously undertaken marine research projects in Indonesia and has a great enthusiasm for all conservation work. 
Samantha Craven is a Marine Biologist with an MSc in Applied Marine Science. She was a student on one of the first trips run by Ecofieldtrips which sparked her passion for marine life and conservation. Now she has joined EFT to inspire her passion to her students.
Katie Luxmoore is a Zoology graduate with a passion for conservation. She has a particular interest in rainforest ecology and has worked as a volunteer in Borneo on various conservation projects.
Ishbel is currently on a GAP year, working with EFT for 3 months. It has been her dream to be a zoologist since a very early age, and since then has been involved with many conservation and wildlife projects all around the world, most recent of which was in Kenya. In September she is attending Newcastle University in the UK to study Zoology.
Sam Hope is a enthusiastic marine biologist with a degree in Marine and Fresh Water Biology as well as a masters in Applied Marine Science. He is also a qualified PADI dive master a role which has provided him with an opportunity to work in various countries. Sam has also taken part in a research trip to Indonesia performing reef check surveys and working on the coral bleaching phenomenon.
