Subaraj Rajathurai is a very well known and experienced natural historian, birding consultant and nature guide from Singapore with over 20 years experience in the field. He is Singapore’s first professional tourist guide specialising exclusively in eco-tourism. |

Karen Chen - Operations Manager
Karen Chen is a qualified nature guide with over five years of experience in the field. She has been heavily involved in animal welfare and environmental education at Jurong Bird Park and Underwater World Singapore. She is also a talented nature photographer. |

Jen Chapman - Environmental Biologist
Jen Chapman is a biology graduate and PADI Dive Master with a keen interest in conservation. She has previously worked on environmental sustainability projects and has continuing involvement in conservation projects throughout Asia. |

Samantha Craven has an MSc from Plymouth University in Applied Marine Science. A student on one of the first trips run by Ecofieldtrips, she joined EFT to share her passion and experience in biology and conservation with the next generation. Samantha is also the author of a marine biology blog. |

Chua Sek Chuan - Marine Biologist & Ecologist
Chua Sek Chuan is a Singaporean marine biologist and ecologist. He was formerly chairman of the Marine Conservation Group of the Nature Society. He is also the author of Singapore Waters and is widely noted as an expert in his field. |

Katie Luxmore - Zoologist
Katie is a zoologist with a particular interest in rainforest ecology and conservation. She has worked as a volunteer in Borneo on various conservation projects and has also carried out acoustic research on bats as part of her MSc. |

Tara Beardmore - Marine Biologist & Journalist
Tara joined the EFT team after graduating with a Bachelors degree in Marine Biology and Journalism. Tara has worked caring for sick and injured animals in her native Australia and has experience working behind the scenes on a nature TV program. |

Jana Buehler - Ecologist
Jana Buehler is a biology graduate with a particular interest in rainforest ecology. She was involved in an environmental impact and resource management project in rural Ethiopia and has also been involved in both coastal and terrestrial field projects within Europe. |

Ruben Venegas - Biologist
Ruben is a Costa Rican biologist with an MSc in GIS and Remote Sensing applied to Natural Resources Management. He has been involved in research and conservation projects in Latin America, with special interest in Sea Turtle Biology and habitat mapping. He has also participated in conservation projects in Europe and Indonesia. |

Jamie is a genetics graduate from University College Cork, Ireland. He has interests in ecology and biodiversity. His aim is to find ways of applying genetics to practical conservation. |

Angela Burgess - Marine & Zoo Conservation Biologist
Angela graduated from Plymouth University with a degree in Marine and Coastal Biology. She decided to pursue her interest in the marine environment by completing a course in commercial diving. Angela recently completed her masters in Zoo Conservation Biology. |

Jack Curran - Biologist
Jack is a former student of an Ecofieldtrips trip where he learnt to dive in 2005. He has pursued his interest in Biology through studying at Manchester University and has since completed his Dive Master training in Honduras. |

Qiao Ling Xu - Biologist
Ling is a Life Sciences (Biology) graduate from the National University of Singapore, with particular research interests in Ecology and Marine Biology. Ling is a keen sportsperson and diver. Before joining EFT, she recently worked at the Pacific Whale Foundation as a Research Intern. |

Carolien Zanstra - Zoologist
Carolien is a Zoologist from University of Ediburgh with a MSc Zoo Conservation Biology from Plymouth. She has worked as a research assistant in the mangroves and forests of Madagascar and has recently spent 6 months working in Wales at the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre with bottlenose dolphins and participating in educational activities with the general public. A student at ISKL many years ago, she is thrilled to be back in SE Asia to get re-acquainted with its marine and terrestrial wildlife.

Sabah Adams - Biologist
Sabah is a Biology graduate from the Univeristy of Bristol, with a particular interest in ecology and conservation. She has previously been a volunteer for a turtle conservation project in Greece and also has experience as an environmental education volunteer for the London Wildlife Trust in the UK. |

Kristin Buter - Marine Biologist
Kristin is a Marine Biology graduate from Saint Francis University in the United States. While in school, Kristin had the opportunity to study field biology in Belize and the Galapagos Islands. Since graduation, she has worked with children in a variety of settings, from environmental education in the Florida Keys and Virginia, to fitness in her native Maryland. She cannot wait to be teaching in the field again, especially in places as beautiful as Singapore and Malaysia!

Kajsa Brittsjo - Zoologist
Kajsa has a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Southampton University. She is an ex-dissertation student of Ecofieldtrips’, who studied the effects of food availability on damselfish on Tioman Island. During her time with us, she followed a variety of school trips, and enjoyed the experience so much, she has returned to work! With hobbies like climbing, caving and diving, Kajsa is a fantastic new addition to the EFT Team. |

James Young - Biologist
James is a recent Biology graduate from the University of Southampton, and is another ex-dissertation student of ours. His primary interest is entomology, a focus that is likely to expand the horizons of all EFT Staff, but he is also interested in the underwater world. he has previously carried out Population research on polymorphic land snails in Uganda, and is looking forward to spending more time in Asian Rainforests! |

Joe is Marine Biology graduate from St Andrews University. He is a PADI Divemaster, avid globetrotter and passionate about conservation. He has previously worked in the dive industry in the Philippines and Indonesia as well as working for marine conservation NGOs in Fiji and Tobago. He loves his new job! |

Helen Brunt is an Anthropologist and PADI Dive Instructor working for the Semporna Islands Darwin Project in Sabah, Borneo. Her work focuses on environmental education and awareness with local people living in a Marine Protected Area. |

Jenny has been working on school fieldtrips around Asia since 1981. She is an amazing team leader and first aid officer, and a joy to have on fieldtrips. She has taken part in many humanitarian efforts around the world. |
